CIA Pronounces Israel Dead

March 16, 2009 by Gsmith

gazaIsrael is a state which has been kept, from its inception, in a condition of total and intractable warfare. The manipulation of the ruling class is most obvious here, as various forces have played off one group of working people against their neighbor, deftly keeping one side or the other from ever gaining the upper hand. Our masters have sold all sides weapons at fantastic profit margins (often subsidized by the taxes of Western workers), corrupted the leadership of all sides and pumped the world full of opposing streams of propaganda.

The motive of the ruling class is clear, and follows along the same lines as racist violence in the U.S. (directed largely at Mexican-Americans) and Canada (directed at the Chinese). With this divide and conquer strategy, a tiered, fascist society is created. While workers are busy fighting among themselves, society’s wealthiest parasites get to ride the coattails of the productive, blaming the results of their oppressive policies on the mythical others. In the interim, they plunder the natural environment and laugh up their sleeves, knowing that their victims (Israeli and Arab alike) are too busy to notice.

With the designation of the radical warmonger Benjamin Netanyahu to the post of Prime Minister, Israel has signaled a desire to retain its disastrous policy of constant warfare and national terrorism. Any hopes of a reasonable, peaceful coexistence and reconciliation with her neighbors are now off the table and will remain so for the forseeable future.

Netanyahu is best known for resigning in protest of Ariel Sharon’s desire to seek a solution to the constant fratricide which has plagued his country for fifty years, proving himself to be — at least in theory — more bloodthirsty than one of the 20th century’s most heinous war criminals.

Just yesterday a study commissioned by the CIA was leaked to the press which acknowledges the inevitable destruction of Israel as a cultural and national entity, and the displacement of the vast majority of Israelis around the world, as Israel rapidly disintegrates due to her lack of foresight and eternal troublemaking.

While the story was spun to give credit to groups like Hizb-Allah and Hamas, in the subtext the CIA admits that the actual failure of Israel is being predicated by discontent among the working-classes of both Israel (which has to fight the war) and America (which is forced to pay for it). It’s a stunning fragment of truth which ought to send a strong message to the people who profit from this sort of bloodshed.

Israel will fall in 20 years: CIA

Hizbullah chief vows never to recognise Tel Aviv

Sunday, March 15, 2009
WASHINGTON/BEIRUT: A study conducted by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has cast doubt over Israel’s survival beyond the next 20 years.

The CIA report predicts “an inexorable movement away from a two-state to a one-state solution, as the most viable model based on democratic principles of full equality that sheds the looming spectre of colonial Apartheid while allowing for the return of the 1947/1948 and 1967 refugees. The latter being the precondition for sustainable peace in the region.”

The study, which has been made available only to a certain number of individuals, further forecasts the return of all Palestinian refugees to the occupied territories, and the exodus of two million Israeli – who would move to the US in the next fifteen years.

“There is over 500,000 Israelis with American passports and more than 300,000 living in the area of just California,” International lawyer Franklin Lamb said in an interview with Press TV on Friday, adding that those who do not have American or western passport, have already applied for them.

“So I think the handwriting at least among the public in Israel is on the wall…(which) suggests history will reject the colonial enterprise sooner or later,” Lamb stressed.

He said CIA, in its report, alludes to the unexpectedly quick fall of the apartheid government in South Africa and recalls the disintegration of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s, suggesting the end to the dream of an ‘Israeli land’ would happen ‘way sooner’ than later.

The study further predicts the return of over one and a half million Israelis to Russia and other parts of Europe, and denotes a decline in Israeli births whereas a rise in the Palestinian population.

Lamb said given the Israeli conduct toward the Palestinians and the Gaza strip in particular, the American public —which has been voicing its protest against Tel Aviv’s measures in the last 25 years— may ‘not take it anymore’.

absolutely right… to hell with the billionaires. Let them open their wallets, pick up their rifles and fight their own god damned wars…

Israelis have been fighting for that land for centuries, and even more so since 1948, and I can’t imagine a set of circumstances that would cause them to leave the land God gave them.
I stand four-square behind Israel, our true friends in a region where Anti-Americanism is the real danger. In the light that reveals the Arab lunacy gripping the Middle East today, Israel has proved to be a sane, democratic island surrounded by an ocean of hate and self-destructive mayhem. Fatah, Hamas, Hezbollah and the rest are not credible entities for the world to support. Israel is – and the world media need to abstain from bashing them for protecting their existence.

  2. Grégoire says:

    Dear James,

    Thanks for your comment.

    …the land God gave them…

Whose god is this, and when did He give the land to one group or the other? I could easily come up with some mythological fragments which, creatively interpreted, suggest that I own your house, car and office. My guess is that you’d be pretty angry when I came to collect.

God, if s/he exists at all, is probably pretty annoyed at the fact that we humans constantly trot him/her out to justify dropping fire on the women and children who live just across some arbitrary man-made border.

    Israel, our true friends…

The working-class in Israel is a true friend of the working-class in America (even though we’re largely too silly to realize this). The ruling class in Israel is a true friend of the ruling class in America.

The U.S. establishment sent over Patriot Missile batteries to Israel after Gulf War I. Congress reluctantly approved this, as the technology was classified and very valuable. Immediately, the Israeli ruling class took them apart, deconstructed them and sold the technical know-how to the People’s Republic of China. I bet you missed that, eh? It’s only one example of many which illustrates the nature of our “true friend” in the Middle East.

  3. James says:

Regarding the Patriot Missile, what is you source?

  4. Ron Madson says:

    Gregoire & James
thank you for this post and all the others you have sent recently. I believe in God and his existence and I also believe that he restored his true and living church on the earth in this last dispensation. I state this as a preface to my comments because I assume that James has a faith in God a perhaps the restored LDS church. Having that in common I have in the last few years (I am 54 and I admit to being a little slow) I have come to the inescapable conclusion that God was not involved in the conquest of Palestine by Joshua and his armies, God did not GIVE the land to Israel in the way Israel interprets the GIVING, and that Israel ironically remains as deluded as the Pharisees were at the time of Christ when they actually believed that God wanted them to destroy their enemies around them and conquer them by force. And yet there was Christ, their very God, standing before them telling them “it has been said of old” such and such but you got it all wrong for I am here to tell you that the only way to claim your inheritance is to LOVE your enemies and do good to them and to share all you have —including the dirt you stand on right now. Never did Christ tell them the LAND was theirs exclusively–NEVER. You think he would have if that were the case. No, he told them they loved their genealogies, fables and myths which myths would cause them to bring destruction—which destruction they will bring upon themselves again because they actually still believe the long oral fables that God GAVE them the land exclusively and that they should marginalize, persecute and even destroy their “enemies” even to the point of killing innocent victims. No wonder the Palestinians have formed freedom fighters and defenders—which Israeli calls terrorists. Gregoire is correct. The little people in Israel and Palestine want peace but the “ruling” class have taken up the treasures of the earth and with blood and horror continue to reign until they create the very Armageddon they allege they want to avoid. That is my take…

  5. James says:

OK. I read the opinion in the NY Times. It was never been proven. If they did sell it to China, Israel made a huge mistake .
The post also reads:”Under U.S. pressure, Israel backed out of a deal with China, potentially valued at $1 billion.”

Many countries sell China dual-use technology.

    Germany . engines

France . sonars communicatioins nuke tech?

    britain . communications

    USA . planes.

Russia . everything under the sun

  6. Grégoire says:

In 1992 we weren’t selling China anything.

Another U.S. official said the Israelis “have a bad track record” on arms transfers, noting they have sold weapons containing U.S.-supplied parts to Taiwan, Chile, South Africa, and China. He said a previous sale to China involved “small” missiles but declined to provide details or give the date.

  7. James says:

Israel’s actions in Gaza are justified under international law, and Israel should be commended for its self-defense against terrorism. Article 51 of the United Nations Charter reserves to every nation the right to engage in self-defense against armed attacks.
Since Israel ended its occupation of Gaza, Hamas has fired thousands of rockets designed to kill civilians into southern Israel.
Until the world recognizes that Hamas is committing three war crimes — targeting Israeli civilians, using Palestinian civilians as human shields, and seeking the destruction of a member state of the United Nations — and that Israel is acting in self-defense and out of military necessity, the conflict will continue.

  8. James says:

I am very sorry but this is not a creditable source.

  9. Grégoire says:

    Dear Ron,

Thanks for that comment. I almost feel like this is turning into the Secular Worker sometimes, though I’d rather post the odd article than see the blog go all the way dormant. I appreciate you and James weighing in.

I agree with the teachings of Jesus on the matter. Rabbi Hillel did too, when he said:

Whatever you find hateful, do not do this to your neighbor. That is the whole of the law; the rest is commentary.

Prophet Muhammad didn’t approve of ethnic conflict or national chauvinism either:

O mankind! We created you from a single male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that you may (peacefully) meet and know each other…

The only thing I’m missing is a Book of Mormon quote, but I’m sure someone will do the honors.

  10. Grégoire says:

    Dear James,

Well, I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree then. Thanks again for the banter.

  11. James says:

The Book of Mormon, part of the scripture of Latter-day Saints, on its title page states that its purpose is “the convincing of the Jew and the Gentile that Jesus is the Christ.” However, it contains a specific condemnation of Anti-Semitism:
“Yea, and ye need not any longer hiss, nor spurn, nor make game of the Jews, nor of any remnant of the house of Israel; for behold, the Lord remembereth his covenant unto them, and he will do unto them according to that which he hath sworn.”3 Nephi 29:8
The Doctrine and Covenants, a collection of canonized prophecies of Joseph Smith and other Mormon leaders, contains prophecies regarding the return of the Jews to the land of Israel:
“And the children of Judah may begin to return to the lands which thou didst give to Abraham, their father.”
    In addition, it states:

“Let them, therefore, who are among the Gentiles flee unto Zion. And let them who be of Judah flee unto Jerusalem, unto the mountains of the Lord’s house.”
The Book of Mormon also calls for Jews to repent and accept Jesus Christ but also emphasizes that the Jews remain the Lord’s chosen people with whom he has made a covenant.

  12. James says:

Israel is a western-style democracy being pressured to make peace with a neighbor that has attacked it over and over and over.
Furthermore, people forget that the entire reason that the Palestinian people are displaced is that the entire Arab world declared war on Israel long before it was a nation.

How would we react if a large aboriginal group started launching frequent attacks? Would we react by peacefully letting them form their own nation where they would be free to continue to launch attacks?

It would go a long way if people stopped seeing Israelis as so different from themselves. Regardless of their religion, Israel is a nation of modern Western-style life, and until people (like the other commenters here) see them as such, it will continue to be an ignorance dump for the masses.

  13. James says:

I’m not Jewish, but my Savior was/is a Jew.
To give up on our only allie in the Middle East is a BIG mistake. HUGE.

  14. Will says:

James, thanks for your posts. The origin of the conflict between israelis and palestinians however goes back to Zionism, which is an ideology which encouraged Jews from Europe, America and elsewhere to come to Palestine and deliberately, forcefully expel the indigenous inhabitants (Palestinian Muslims and Christians). This ethnic cleansing, a war crime under international law, resulted in many Israeli massacres of Palestinians and their expulsion from the land which later was taken over by zionist forces and became the state of Israel in 1948. These Palestinian villages were then summarily destroyed, Jewish villages and cities being built on their ruins. The whole history of the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis since then has revolved around the continued expansion of Israel, because Zionists seek to create a “Greater Israel” which includes at minimum the entire West Bank. This is problematic because Israel wants this land, but not its Muslim and Christian inhabitants, so instead they placed the West Bank and Gaza under occupation after the 67 war and have been colonizing the West Bank ever since, displacing Palestinians and confiscating their land to build settlements for Jews only. Israel is not a democracy like the US, where every citizen has equal rights regardless of religion or ethnicity or race. In Israel you only have full rights if you are jewish, in the occupied territories which they control, non-jews have no rights. Opposing Israeli policies has nothing to do with anti-semitism. The most capable defenders of Palestinian rights are Jews, for example Uri Avnery, Norman Finkelstein, Noam Chomsky, Uri Davis. They are Jews, but they support the basic right of Palestinians to live on their land, and not be killed and massacred so their land can be taken for Jews. Please do not attempt to characterize critics of Israel as anti-semites. It is simply not true. In fact, the policies of the Israeli government have long endangered Jews unnecessarily. The Israeli government and its Jewish and Christian supporters in Israel consistently sacrifice the security of Israeli citizens for the sake of continuing to expand Israeli territory. Palestinians of course resist this violence being perpetrated against them, at times in ways that are immoral, such as shooting rockets or engaging in suicide bombings against civilians. However, Israel is still the aggressor and targets Palestinian civilians consistently and openly (not to mention Lebanese civilians), and because of their overwhelming military superiority are able to kill many more Palestinian civilians in an effort to continue their colonization of Palestinian land, than Palestinians kill in an effort to oppose it or to respond to Israel’s targeting of their own civilians. What the Israelis are doing to Palestinians, or supporting what the Israelis do to Palestinians, is as far from what Jesus advocated as can be imagined, as Ron and Greg mentioned above. Instead Israeli actions mimic the actions of King Ahab, who killed a man to steal his vineyard, as King Ahab coveted it. For this he was roundly condemned by Elijah.

  15. Ron Madson says:

It has been fun reading the thoughtful comments and exchange. No doubt the Jews naturally seek the return to their homeland having been scattered and a hiss and byword for so long. However, I think we can agree that the only final solution to war is not the model of vengeance or even “self defense” (all nations believe they are involved in self defense even those that initiate the action–see for example US in Iraq). The only solution is the gospel of Jesus Christ. His model is does not involve the telestial law of pre-emptive strikes, it does not involve the honorable, just and terrestrial law of self defense but rather the final eradication of one’s enemies through the celestial law of doing good to those that seek to destroy you, blessing those that curse you and even loving unto self sacrifice and death those that seek to kill you (anti-nephi lehi; king Ashoka and the real peacemakers in the last days). That alone will change the pattern but it involves a faith that the Nephites did not have (“be more wise”) and the Jews have yet to embrace. See my post on “what would you do if you were the Israeli Prime Minister”

  16. Ron Madson says:

I find your posts not only enlightening and informative but also contain perhaps unintentionally a virtue and theology of honesty, fairness and charity…One need not a formal creed in my opinion to be in the process of becoming more and more christlike. I am not trying to draft you as much as point out as CS Lewis pointed out repeatedly that sometimes the most christlike are those that practice christianity without labeling it such as compared to those that profess his name but do not his works and are unwittingly distancing themselves from day to day. Mormonism for me is (or should be) a very large tent that incorporates all truth, light and virtue (see 13th article of faith). At least that was our tradition before we have become over time increasingly dogmatic and orthodox and exclusionary. However, times are a changing. Keep the posts coming….

  17. J. Madson says:

are you seriously equating scriptures referencing Jewish people with the nation of Israel? No one is being anti-Semitic in condemning the nation state of Israel. We are condemned by our choices not our lineage.

More to the point, take Abraham as a great example. God promises him land and what does Abraham do? He keeps giving it away. He understood that if God truly promises a home and land then it is his to provide and not for us to take through violence and destruction.

If the modern state of Israel was the spiritual descendants of Abraham they would gladly give land to the Palestinians even the best parts. They would defend their right to exist even if God himself sought to destroy them (Sodom and Gomorrah).

Unfortunately, the condemnation that children of God could be raised up from stones is just as apt today as it was in first century Palestine. What does Jesus say? That they are not children of Abraham for if they were they would do his works but instead they seek to control their destiny through violence even murder and thus they are the spiritual heirs of a much more nefarious faith.

To be children of Abraham entails the cause of hospitality, charity, and loving one’s enemies. To prop yourselves up as chosen because of your lineage or some tribal identification and then to justify your acts in the name of god, religion, or some book is about as spiritually sick and morally corrupt as a nation can become.

  18. Grégoire says:

Not much discussion can be had when you don’t consider the MIT journalism department credible, and yet depend on things like The Bible to interpret current events. We’re not even on the same page. That’s not a problem. We all speak our own language (or as Levi-Strauss might say, all (wo)men have a language that speaks through them) and we all get our inspiration from different sources. You did write three articles after I left though.

Is anyone who criticizes Israel an anti-Semite? That’s a popular conception and from the perspective of some perhaps it’s accurate. The issue is made more complicated by the fact that people who are actual anti-Semites sometimes shill for the Arab world in an attempt to increase their own credibility.

If you look around this site you’ll see a lot of criticism. Just a few days ago I criticized a sheriff named Arpaio who likes to go through Spanish-speaking neighborhoods in the Phoenix area and round up anyone who doesn’t have proof on their persons of their status. Nevermind the fact that a great many people he arrests turn out to have been born in places like Connecticut and Kentucky. He just arrests first and after having been humiliated he might let his victims go.

Articles like these don’t mean I hate Jews or Israelis or White people or Arizonans. I do hate the fact that we (North Americans) like the Israelis live in a tiered society, where groups of working people are pitted against one another, while a tiny population of rich people get to sit around on top of it all and live the good life at the expense of the rest of us.

Even the CIA (an arm of the establishment) recognizes the fact that societies like these aren’t very stable. With the appointment of the new prime minister there’s a very real possibility of nuclear war. If you read that article you’ll see that it’s predicted that over a million Israelis – many of whom you call ‘God’s chosen people’ are likely to be homeless and stateless in a mere twenty years. Of course, Benjamin Netanyahu has a huge, lovely house in Pennsylvania that he’ll retire to after he threatens his neighbors and kicks off the next series of troubles, so he doesn’t have to worry about this. He’s Israel’s Dick Cheney, after all. It’s only the regular people who will pay for the mistakes of the oligarchy.

What’s the practical solution? It’s for the working people of Israel, the 90 percent of the population who want their kids to grow up in a stable, peaceful country, to get with the working people in Palestine and devise a solution. The leaders of both societies obviously aren’t going to do anything but keep fighting. They might be able to do this by voting people like Netanyahu and his friends out of office, or they might need to have what’s called a revolution and run him out of town.

Your accusations might easily be turned around. The real anti-Semites might be people like the obese Christian preacher John Hagee, who takes your position, and encourages Israelis to fight with their neighbors incessantly. This course will certainly have a tragic consequence for Israel, and perhaps the entire Jewish diaspora. A peaceful, stable Israel with a democratic and socialist government, which is a good neighbor to the surrounding peoples is the long-term solution and will ensure the survival of Israel as a national and cultural entity. I think that’s what we both want.

  19. James says:

As you said” we’ll have to agree to disagree”

Thank you so much for your comments. I appreciate you taking your time to write.

  20. Forest Simmons says:

White Europeans have been scattering indigenous peoples and stealing their lands throughout the world since the time of Columbus, while calling it “white man’s burden” and “noblesse oblige.”

In this respect the European ethnic Jews are acting more like Gentiles than the remnants of Jacob that they are displacing.

“Know ye not that there are more nations than one?” Isaiah predicted a time in which Judah would no longer vex Joseph.

Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon prophets often used the term “Jews” to mean all non-Gentiles, and reserved the term Gentile for the white European Christians who would take the Bible with them as they scattered the remnants of Jacob from the precious lands to which they had been led, including the European Americans who would have first chance at accepting The Book of Mormon.

In the dedicatory prayer in section 109, Joseph says:

“60 Now these words, O Lord, we have spoken before thee, concerning the revelations and commandments which thou hast given unto us, who are identified with the Gentiles.”

Here’s an highly relevant passage from chapter 30 of second Nephi:
2 For behold, I say unto you that as many of the Gentiles as will repent are the covenant people of the Lord; and as many of the Jews as will not repent shall be cast off; for the Lord covenanteth with none save it be with them that repent and believe in his Son, who is the Holy One of Israel.
3 And now, I would prophesy somewhat more concerning the Jews and the Gentiles. For after the book of which I have spoken shall come forth, and be written unto the Gentiles, and sealed up again unto the Lord, there shall be many which shall believe the words which are written; and they shall carry them forth unto the remnant of our seed.
4 And then shall the remnant of our seed know concerning us, how that we came out from Jerusalem, and that they are descendants of the Jews.

In the following passage the Lord uses the word “Jew” to refer to the American Indians:

    D&C 57: 4 Wherefore, it is wisdom that the land should be purchased by the saints, and also every tract lying westward, even unto the line running directly between Jew and Gentile;

In chapters 16, 20 and 21 of Third Nephi the Lord promised the remnants of Jacob that they would all eventually be restored to the precious lands from which they have been scattered since the time of Columbus. I think this includes not only the North American Indians, but all indigenous people of color (think “coat of many colors”) including the Palestinians.
